Libya's aunt asked for a damask-print growth chart for her niece, with some touches of diva.  This is the first version I came up with:

Liya's mom preferred straight damask, so I was able to fill in the white areas with more damask print and blackened the letters.

I wanted something to fill up a lot of blank wall space in my daughter's bedroom in our new house, but she's at a somewhat transitional age, so I didn't want to dedicate too many hours to the project.  I decided to duplicate some of the designs from her bedspread.
