Farmyard Bedside Table

We had this table kicking around. With that chicken wire front, I had to do a farm theme.

It's all about the little details...

Heirloom Table

This table was mine as a child, and belonged to my mother and grandmother before that. I believe it was handmade by my great grandfather. It was originally a light wood finish, which I normally wouldn't paint over, but my sister had carved the names of her favorite bands into it as a teenager, and it had a large crack in it. I'm happy to have made it functional again, and added a personal touch. Now it belongs to my two daughters.

Ballerina Night Stand

Another yardsale "trash to treasure". I think I paid $5 for the stained wood night stand. It involved a lot of different techniques, including sponge painting, washes with glaze, striping and florals. Lots of work, but one of my favorites. A good friend bought it for her two daughters' room.

Woodland Highchair

I found this highchair in the trash. A little primer, a lot of handpainted gingham and a cute woodland critter scene and voila.
(if I had it to do over, I'd make the scene facing in, toward the baby)

Fairy Desk

I bought this cute, unfinished desk for a dollar at a yard sale. It was scribbled on in marker, but was nothing a coat of paint and some fairies couldn't fix. I sold it at a craft fair.

One of my favorites!
